Nina S. Zagat Decorated as an Officier of the Légion d'Honneur

Nina S. Zagat, co-Founder and co-Chair of Zagat Survey, was honored last night as an Officier of the Légion d'honneur on behalf of the President of France by France’s Ambassador, Francois Delattre. This prestigious award is bestowed by the Government of France upon exceptional individuals who have made major contributions to France and to French culture. It is unusual for the award to be presented to a non-French national.

Zagat is your guide to finding “the very best places for every occasion.” For over three decades Zagat has combined the power of user-generated content with the precision of expert editors to bring you accurate information about the places that best meet your needs. Curated reviews incorporating quotes from real users and multidimensional 30-point ratings are central to the Zagat experience.
Today marks the release of Zagat’s 2014 Paris Restaurants guide covering 822 restaurants as voted on by 9,692 avid local diners who shared their experiences with us. The updated guide reflects significant changes to the dining scene since our last survey, and includes approximately 115 new additions. In addition to exciting new arrivals such as La Dame de Pic, Le Sergent Recruteur and Miss Ko, the guide includes a series of new lists to help you find the city’s most exceptional places in a variety of categories:

Today, Google announced the new
Google Maps
at our annual
Google I/O
developer conference. In addition to delivering a tailored map for every person and place, the local search experience features a new 5-star rating system offering quick readability to help you make informed decisions, fast, while providing nuanced fidelity with a 1.0 - 5.0 decimal score.
The Zagat reviews you’ve come to love and trust are still available throughout Google, and of course you can still enjoy all the great ratings, reviews and specialized lists on Zagat.com and in the Zagat mobile app. Now you have the best of both worlds to help you make quick, informed decisions: expert curated user reviews from Zagat plus the opinions of friends and other Google users.
And this is just the beginning. We have quite a bit in store for the next generation of Zagat within Google. In the coming months, Zagat will highlight the most notable places across the Google products you use everyday, like Maps, Search and Google+. Zagat rated places will feature Zagat reviews and curated lists like “8 Best Burritos Around San Francisco” (my personal favorite) to help you find the perfect spot. Our goal is to be the trusted, go-to source for discovering the world's most exceptional experiences.
